Your House Looks Cleaner from My Side of the Fence

Okay, do you ever have those days where you wish you could clock in and out of a nice office job?? You arrive in matching clothes and within the first 5 minutes NO ONE has told you they pooped (hopefully)!!! How about accomplishing a certain task that gets noticed and miraculously stays in order!! I'm not saying that staying home isn't and can't be a blast, but that isn't how it always is. I'm not saying that being an outside the home mom is easy or fun. I've done both and some days I truly feel like the grass is greener on the other side. I think how nice it must be for mom's that work to eat lunch with out having to cut up 3 different pieces of chicken;while breastfeeding, distribute an even amount of ketchup and refill cups before she even sits down to enjoy her already cold lunch. Then the outside the home mom is probably thinking how nice it would be to sit around the table with her kiddies feeding them a healthy lunch while waiting for the dryer cycle to stop. On my worst days I envision how nice it must be to leave a clean house for 8 hours and return to it clean, how about that all day chat with people (Whether you like 'em or not!!) In reality the mom's who work outside the home and the ones who work inside their home both battle the "Your house looks cleaner from my side of the fence" mindset. I like having a clean house, clean children, clean clothes and a couple hours to relax everyday. I can't remember the last time it all happened in one day, but I know someday it will. Right??? Until this miraculous day happens I'll just enjoy the moments I have in my dirty house, with my dirty children that are surrounded by dirty clothes and realize that until they move out I'll never have a couple of hours to relax!!! Being a stay at home mom or an outside the home mom is challenging at best, but we mom's are the ones that tuck our little ornery ones into bed at night relieved that we had another day to spend with them!!
